Last autumn, we chose an adventure in a tiny house at EuroParcs in Belfeld, along with our loyal four-legged friend, Sep. This experience gave us an unforgettable stay, which we look back on with great pleasure. In this article, we also share our best photos from this fantastic weekend getaway in Limburg with our dog.
Hiking in the Surrounding Area
Surrounding this charming tiny house is a hiking paradise for you and your dogs. Just a stone’s throw away, you find yourself in picturesque Germany, a place with endless beautiful hiking trails. We highly recommend putting on your hiking boots and exploring the beauty of the Krickenbecker See and the Wittsee. Here, you’ll find a piece of unspoiled and breathtaking nature that invites you to wander for hours with your dog. If you’re lucky, you might even spot beavers, deer, and more than a hundred species of birds!
But the charms of this area are not limited to Germany alone. From this nature cottage, you can quickly reach the border in Reuver, where another woodland wonderland awaits. The beautiful paths through this forest are truly impressive. And let’s not forget the Ravensvennen near Belfeld, a hidden gem for endless walking pleasure with your dog. It’s the perfect place to get lost in the moment together.
After a day full of discoveries and outdoor adventures, returning to the tiny house offers a well-deserved end to your day. Here, as the sun slowly sets and the stars appear in the sky, you can relax and reflect on the day’s experiences.
The absolute highlight of our stay in the cozy little house was, without a doubt, the hot tub. A unique experience that began at the reception, where we purchased a bag of wood to heat the bath. And yes, you read that right: this hot tub is heated the old-fashioned way, with real fire! It’s an adventure in itself, but keep in mind that patience is key. After about six hours of stoking, the water reached the perfect temperature.
Then it was time for ultimate relaxation: homemade gin & tonics in hand, while we soaked in the warm water under the clear starry sky. Our dachshund Sep was already in dreamland, exhausted from the long walks, allowing us to enjoy the moment undisturbed.
Stay Warm with the Pellet Stove
One of the best features of this tiny house is definitely the pellet stove. I think Sep would completely agree! He thoroughly enjoyed and relaxed in the chair in front of the stove. With a pellet stove, you can make the place cozy and warm in no time. If you visit this tiny house in the winter, you’ll really appreciate it.
Dining Out or Enjoying Sushi in the Tiny House
In the vicinity of this tiny house, you’ll find many restaurants due to its location near Venlo, a city known for its diverse culinary offerings. Despite these tempting options, we chose to embrace the coziness of the house. This way, we could enjoy a wonderful evening in this lovely house with our dog, Sep. We opted for sushi from Eddi’s Sushi, which we highly recommend! On certain days, they even offer delivery service, and we dare say it’s the best sushi you’ll ever taste.
The evening was filled with playing games, enjoying the warmth of the pellet stove, and relaxing in the hot tub. It turned out to be one of our best weekend getaways with our dog within the borders of our beautiful country.
